Quarry I

This piece was inspired by photographs of a disused quarry taken by my friend Kim Senior as she was hiking in Maine. Subtle textures and glazes represent the worked rock face which plunged below the pitch black glass-like water which has filled the quarry. 120cm H x 60cm W.
